The General Commission on United Methodist Men and WesleyMen formalize partnership
The General Commission on United Methodist Men (GCUMM) and WesleyMen signed a Memorandum of Understanding on August 13 at the 2026 World Methodist Council Meeting in El Salvador, strengthening their commitment to ministry with men worldwide.
The partnership will encourage collaboration, discipleship, leadership development, mission work, and resource-sharing across the global Methodist and Wesleyan family. Together, the organizations aim to build stronger connections and equip more men to live out their faith in their churches and communities.
Stronger together: Why men must stand with women against abuse
In recognition of Domestic Violence Awareness Month, this article calls on men of faith to take an active role in preventing violence against women by promoting equality, mutual respect, and healthy relationships. It encourages congregations to model shared leadership, speak out against harmful attitudes, support survivors, and hold one another accountable.
Through its partnership with YWCA Nashville & Middle Tennessee’s AMEND Together program, United Methodist Men offers AMENDing Through Faith, an eight-session series designed to help men recognize, respond to, and prevent violence against women.
As Thanksgiving approaches, I am grateful for the United Methodist men who serve their churches, mentor young people, and strengthen communities through faith and fellowship. I believe our future depends on embracing change, building meaningful relationships, and creating welcoming spaces where men of all generations can grow as disciples of Jesus Christ.
I encourage us all to turn gratitude into action through service, generosity, and support for GCUMM on Giving Tuesday, December 1. Together, let us continue to Love Boldly, Serve Joyfully, and Lead Courageously.
This Giving Tuesday, you have an opportunity to make a difference through the ministry of United Methodist Men! The General Commission on United Methodist Men (GCUMM) equips and empowers men to grow in faith, become stronger Christian leaders, serve their communities, and share Christ’s love with others. Through ministries that encourage spiritual growth, leadership development, and compassionate service, we help men put their faith into action—locally and around the world.
Your generosity makes this ministry possible. Every gift helps sustain and strengthen the programs that equip men to serve God, support their communities, and make a lasting impact in the lives of others. This December 1, join us in making faith active through service. Give to GCUMM this Giving Tuesday and help us continue building a stronger future for men, their families, their churches, and their communities.

Bring Discipleship Out of the Basement – And Into the Light
Scouting has spent years tucked away in church basements and side rooms, quietly shaping young disciples whose faith and service often go unseen. But Jesus’ call to bring every lamp into the open is stirring a movement—lifting Scouting into the light and revealing the Christian witness beneath a uniform. If you’ve ever wondered who these leaders and youth really are, or how their quiet faith is transforming lives, this is your invitation to meet them… and maybe even join them.
Epworth United Methodist Men presented 14 devotionals to firefighters in Pembroke Pines, Florida sharing faith and encouragement with those who serve their community.
The Society of St. Andrew has received a $9,000 grant from the United Methodist Foundation of West Virginia to distribute 40,000 pounds of potatoes to families facing hunger in summer 2027. Through partnerships with United Methodists, community volunteers, and local feeding agencies, this effort will turn surplus food into meaningful service and help fight hunger.
